What Does The CT Scan Report Indicate?

Hi Dr. Goyal, I was recently had a CT scanned with some findings on the following: bilateral upper chest pleural thickening with subcentimeter normalities. I m pretty healthy, and run 5K a day, but is this something I should take action now and manage it? Or can it be managed?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should not worry much. As your CT Thorax report suggestive of old fibrotic scar in lung and pleural thickening.
Both are indicators of old disease process which has been healed. So they are not suggestive of active disease.
So no need to worry much.
This can be due to old tuberculosis or pneumonia.
And these lesions will remain throughout the life. And no treatment is needed because they are inactive and not harmful.
So nothing to manage in your case.
