What Does Presence Of Ketones In Urine Of A Child Indicate?

My 4 year old went to her peditrican said there was ketones in her urine that to give her things that I wouldn t normally give candy gingerale etc. Shes running 100.3 fever stomach hurting and vomiting ever since she was 2 she would put off an unusal smell could this be early signs of jevenile diabetes

Ni, Children usually present in diabetic ketoacidosis in juvenile diabetes. Urine ketones is non specific thing. Prolong vomiting, fever, starvation, hyperthyroidism, renal glycosuria, glycogen storage disease all causes ketones in urine.
Do his random and one fasting blood sugar if you are very anxious about it; that will settle the issue.
