What Does Presence Of A Large Arterialized Tumor.. Mean?

the study confirms presence of a large arterialized tumor and demonstrates portal veins washout and pseudocapsule formation. the origin of the tumor is caudate lobe of the liver, size is 10 cm. there is also evidence of thrombosis of left division of the portal vein which extends to the main portal trunk as well as SMV. the finding are characteristics for HCC. Moderate volume ascites is seen in the abdomen. there is also spenomegaly with large caliber varices at splenic hilum and gastric bed. un complicated cholelithiasis noterd. there is large right-sided pleural effusion with partially collapsed right lower lobe. no suspicious pulmonary nodules seen in the visualized lung bases. large typical HCC associated with portal vein thrombosis and ascites.

The ultrasound report says that there is a cancerous tumor in the liver which measures 10 cms in size and is richly supplied by the hepatic artery. There is also fluid in the abdomen and clot in the portal vein which is causing problems to the flow of blood through it. You must discuss this in detain with an surgical oncologist and take proper treatment.
