What Does Predominant Linear Opacities In Midzone And Calcific Opacities In Paracardiac Region Mean?
i just got my xray reports and it stated few well defined predominant linear opacities are seen in right midzone. Tiny calcific opacities are seen in right para cardiac region. Iv had tubrculosis before around 5 years back. Is this anything to do with that.
Few well defined predominant linear opacities in right midzone and tiny calcific opacities in right para cardiac region are sequel of past infection(T.B in your case). Linear opacities in right midzone may be due to fibrotic bands.Calcification and fibrosis are formed during healing process of infection and it doesn't require any treatment. Hope i have answered your query.
