What Does Pause Time Is Higher Than Normal Indicate?
I am 38 years of age. Height 167 Cm weight 64 kg. Recently i had gone through a holter test. Min heart rate came as 52 bpm and max as 122 bpm Average was 87 bpm. Earlier During ECG i was informed taht pause time is higher than normal same has been confirmed by Holter test.
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM. Pause time means Interval between two ECG complexes, between two beats. Normal heart rate is around 60-90 beats per minute. So if your heart rate is lower than pause time is high. I think your ECG was showing this, so doctor ordered holter monitoring for better evaluation. And in holter report nothing seems worrisome. If you are not having any symptoms than no need to worry for your ECG and holter report and high pause time. But if you have symptoms like hypotension, giddiness, chest pain etc than consult cardiologist.
