Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having a minor ache in the middle, above my stomach and be low my bra not quite on the right side. It only occurs when I move a certain way and almost feels like you have done to many sit ups. Would it have anything to do with a sinus infection I have just started getting or the fact that I had been smoking for 2weeks and have just stopped again?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and understand your concern.
The pain you describe seems very likely to be muscular because it is effected by movement. You can take some Paracetamol and Ibuprofen to help with it and it should improve within the next 1-2 days. You can take Ibuprofen after food to avoid stomach pain and also if you have some Omeprazole to protect your stomach would be advisable to be taken. The pain does not seem related to sinus infection or due to smoking. I would say you are doing great you have stopped smoking and please continue to not use cigarettes as cigarettes can increase stomach acid production and may cause stomach problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards,
Antoneta Zotaj, MD
