What Does Pain In The Thigh After A Hip Replacement Surgery Indicate?

I have had 2 hip replacement surgeries. One a year ago and the other 5 months ago. Recently I ve started having sharp pains in my thigh on the side I had hip surgery a year ago. Wearing a compression sleeve on my thigh helps but doesn t eliminate all the pain when walking. What could suddenly have changed to cause the pain?
