What Does Pain In The Right Leg Indicate?

Good morning I have been having pain in my right leg it starts from my butt cheek and travels down I have try taking Tylenol 500m I trying putting biofreeze and nothing I been with this for a week alreadydoes not let me sleep please help I'm 51 with diabetes

Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. As you are suffering from diabetes, it could be peripheral neuropathy symptom or an attack of Sciatica, so consult an Orthopedic surgeon to exclude the same.

2. You need medical evaluation since it could be a blood clot [DVT- deep vein thrombosis] which has to be immediately excluded as there is a pain in the right leg [one week], so seek immediate medical intervention [vascular surgeon opinion] or visit an ER.

PS. Ask for doppler study [since the clot could break free and travel up to the lungs to cause fatal embolism]
