Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain in the frontal part of my neck. Almost like a sore throat pain but is lower in the neck area. Hurts worse when laying on my right side or taking deep breaths. I was recently diagnosed with fluid in my ear and have been using steroid drops. Could this have anything to do with the pain that is in lower down than my throat?

What Does Pain In The Neck Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. There are many possibilities of neck pain including infection, throat tumors and thyroid diseases. You need to do the following tests: 1- Full clinical assessment in the nearest medical center. 2- Complete blood count. 3- Ultrasound of the neck. 4- Thyroid hormones tests. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
