What Does Pain In The Anus Indicate?

Hi...my 18 year old son is having pain in his anus region. I thought maybe a fissure or something but it s been months it seems to be getting better then he does something like squats or other forms of exercise and he s in pain again. He hasn t had any trama to that area at least that he s willing to admit t9 his mother so I was wondering about this pudendal neuralgia...?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be an anal fissure or hemorrhoid. Get examined by a doctor. He may try a sitz bath. Ask him to increase fluid intake to avoid constipation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
