Ive been sitting at my desk for about an half hour or so and my left hand starting going numb. It started at my my pinky and has moved down my finger and toward my thumb. Currently it is just my thumb that is numb. now the numbness has moved to the left side of my lips.

Hello,
Please see that if you had the past history of neck pain or stiffness then you should go for chest x-ray PA view and lateral view.
But, if you are having high Blood Pressure or are diabetic, then and these are uncontrolled and symptoms are persisting or increasing, then I will suggest CT scan brain to rule out Stroke or mini stroke called TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
