What Causes Numbness In The Hand?
My husband says he has numbness going down his arm but the numbness is mostly in his hand. He said he can usually get the numbness to go away but he said it is not getting better. he said he also has tingling and numbness from is upper left chest to just below his stomach. He said this started this morning but has gotten worse through the day. He did have a bout of diarrhea during last night.

First of all, it's sad to know what your husband had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to cervical spondylosis and may need work up with X-ray neck and may need nerve pain suppressants like gabapentin along with OTC analgesics like acetaminophen.
Meanwhile, levels for B12 and folic acid may be needed and replacement may be started if deficient.
