My mother age 60. Yesterday she got his ultrasonography report. In liver report says Normal in size with mildly coarse parenchymall echotexture. No focal lesion is seen. PV diameter is about 12 mm. other report is fine except mild splenomegaly. Is my mother suffer from liver crrirosis?

welcome to hcm ...portal vein is dilated and there is splenomegaly and coarse parenchymal echotexture ...it may be in liver cirhosis initial atages ..please go for S bilirubin ...sgot ..sgpt ...serum alkaline phoshphatase test to know about liver function ..also i advise fibroscan which is final test for liver cirhosis confirmation ...
