What Does My Transvaginal Ultrasound Scan Indicate?

There are multiple small subendometrial cyst formation suggestive of an adenomyosis. Endometrial thickness: 8 mm. OVARIES: The bilateral ovaries show numerous small peripherally located follicles and volumes greater than 10 cc in a polycystic ovary morphology. Blood flow is documented to both ovaries on color Doppler imaging. Right ovary: 3.9 x 2.8 x 3.2 cm (18.1 cc). Left ovary: 4.1 x 3.1 x 2.7 cm (18.0 cc). ADNEXA: No free fluid. IMPRESSION: 1. Polycystic ovaries. Recommend clinical and biochemical correlation for polycystic ovarian syndrome. 2. Findings of adenomyosis. Dr. Oscar Garcia Fraga is dictating resident. Finalized report status indicates the signing attending has reviewed the images and report, and agrees with the interpretation. Preliminary report status should NOT be regarded as interpreted by the attending radiologist what would happen i had a tranvignal ultrasound

* As per the details of the report of transvaginal ultrasound, there is condition with polycystic ovary associated adenomyosis of the uterus which in majority of the conditions is due to altered hormonal levels from various causes as insulin intolerance or others.

* One requires details of the history, physical examination and lab work up with hormone levels of FSH, LH, Estrogen, Progesterone, Fasting blood sugar and other supportive data to fix the cause of the same and treat accordingly.
