What Does My Sonography Report Indicate?
Hi doctor, I was experiencing pain in right lower abdomen radiating to back, sonography shows mild prominence of pelvi calyceal system with subtle uṛothelial thickening of renal pelvis 2.1 mm. No renal calculus seen. What does this mean? Is it serious?

hi there,
it can mean involvement of appendix or ovary (if female) or fallopian tube(if female) or ureter or intestine.
as sonography shows problem in kidney without any trace of calculus it can be an infection.
to rule out other causes u will need X ray KUB and IVP with serum creatinine level,urine examination,blood sugar, complete blood count.
Till then please take tablet nitrofurantoin and tablet lasix, for pain tablet PCM.
please intake lots of fluid, orange,lemon.
