What Does My Radiography Report Indicate?

Hi, The results of a radiography of the chest and heart say: 1-Bilateral hilar and lung congestion, suggestive of bronchitis. 2- A small basal fibrotic lung bands are seen at both lower lung lobes. 3-No pulmonary nodules or consolidation patches detected. 4-Both costo-phrenic angles are free 5-Cardiac shadow is within normal limits of size and configuration. I need to understand that, thank you

Thanks for posting your question to Health Care Magic website,

Regarding your Chest X ray report and relevant health problems, there are several issues to consider as follows:

1.     Bilateral congestion of lung tissues and hilar lymph nodes address mainly some specific diseases such as chronic bronchitis which is the inflammation of lung bronchial tubes. In this case the patient suffers from chronic productive cough.

2.     Basal fibrotic lung bands are radiologic lines observed when scratching of the lungs happen. However the report demonstrates that the extent of this problem is limited.

According to your chest X ray report, anything depends on your signs and symptoms. If you suffer from shortness of breath or in case of dyspnea worsen you demand to follow up your illness seriously. However I think your health problem does not seem to be a vast health threat for you now. I also recommend you to avoid polluted airs, smoking and also viral and bacterial pulmonary infections.

Your doctor may test your lungs using spirometer to understand your pulmonary reserves.

Hope you feel better soon,

Regards
