What Does My Liver Test Report Indicate?

I am a 69 year old female in good health. Three months ago I had blood work done that indicated my AST level at 25 and ALT at 26. Now just 3 months later my AST level is 73 and my ALT if at 62. I had been on 10 mg of Simvastatin during that time. Should I be concerned and what could this mean? Thank you, Judy

Hi!
Welcome to HCM!
I appreciate your concern for the raised liver enzymes, nothing to worry.
Raised enzymes in your case appear to be due to the medication simvastatin 10 mg started to reduced your raised cholesterol.
It indicates liver toxicity, kindly contact your doctor for this problem as to change the medication.
