General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since we are sure about the cause for your peptic ulceration and gastritis which is the Helicobacter pylori the treatment is fairly simple. The triple therapy uses Clarithromycin, Amoxicillin, and a proton pump inhibitor for 2 weeks which is effective in most of the cases. Sometimes Metronidazole is added to make it more effective. Since it is not a very long treatment the side effects will be minimal. Use probiotics to minimize the side effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanskriti Jawa
