What Does Missed Periods And Light Brown Vaginal Discharge Indicate?

My last period was march 8th ,2015 I didn t have a cycle for April and now for 3days now been having very light brown vaginal discharge /spotting only when I wipe. And today have had lil pain in ovaries. I ve also been taking fertility blend & vitex haven t had this happen been taking it for 3month back in march cycle was normal flow. But Dr prescribed me Amitriptyline25mg. For migraines I was wondering could I be pregnant or does this medication cause this ? I m a mother to a 3yr old. Miscarried in June just a little worried?

Amitriptyline belongs to the group of antidepressant medications known as tricyclic antidepressants that is used in the treatment of depression, nerve pain and in the prevention of migraine. But like other medications this medication has some side effects of its own. It may cause abnormal vaginal discharge, changes in menstrual cycles, abdominal pain etc. These side effects are mild and usually go away over time as the body adjusts to this medication. But if these side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor first for medical help. If you have any doubt, then you can undergo urine for pregnancy test, 7days after the next missed period.
