What Does Mild Asthenospermia In My Below Semen Analysis Report Suggest?

Hello Doctor, Am 37 years old and recently got semen analysis done. the report some grades with percentages and at the end of the report they mentioned Impression as Mild ASTHENOSPERMIA can you please check if there is any problem and are there any possibilities to get this corrected semen analysiscolor: whitish grey volume:2.0ml     reaction: Alkaline[ ph 8.0] liquidification: 45min viscocity :Increased microscopy: total sperm concentration: 70 mill/mlprogressive motality (grade a+b) = 40% non progressive motality (grade c) = 30% immolite sperms (grade d)      =30% Morphology:normal Pus cells: 4-6/HPF Epithelial cells:nil RBCS ; NILIMPRESSION:MILD ASTHENOSPERMIA

Mild asthenospermia means that you have reduced motility of sperms. Normally 50% of sperms should have progressive mobitily, which is reduced in you.This might be the cause of infertility problem you are facing.

As you have partial Asthenospermia, To some extent, motility can be improved by following steps:-
1.Avoid masturbation.
2.Keep far away from chemical/ industrial agents.
3.Keep a healthy diet. Stress level in normal life should be reduced.
4.Avoid smoking, drinking & sitting up late or all night
5.Avoid having hot bath or steam bath.
