Dr. Rynne, About 9 days ago I had symptoms of burning with urination, frequent urge to urinate/frequent urination and lower back pain. My doctor called in a prescription for antibiotics for a UTI. I have finished the anti-biotic treatment. Two days later I started to feel an uncomfortable sensation or fullness in my general vaginal area. I continue to have a frequent urge to urinate/frequent urination. I have had more pronounced lower back pain and tiredness. Lastly, a strong smelling discharge has occurred that is white/clear in color. My concern is that I have a kidney infection, but I thought that the antibiotics I was taking for one week would have stopped the progression of that. I have never had a UTI prior to this so I m extremely anxious. I cannot get in to see my doctor until Monday night. I would appreciate your professional opinion. Thank you, Alex
