What Does Fatty Infiltration Of The Pancreas Mean In The Following Ultrasound Report?
mild fatty infiltration of the pancreas diagnosed. Liver all clear on same ultra sound examination. Prognosis ? 64 years of age, fairly fit - golf 3 times per week. Hb1ac - 5.5 / Cholesterols all good - triglycerides 82. Recently shed 6 kilograms from around the tummy area.

Fatty infiltration of pancreas means that the fat content in the pancreas is increased. By itself, it is not a serious finding. However, if you are having pain in the upper abdomen then your doctor might ask you to do blood tests for knowing pancreas function.
