My Neurologist recently diagnosed me with Epilepsy: Finding - The electroencephalogram demonstrated the abnormal finding of the interictal epileptiform discharges originating from the left temporal T3 with an extension of the electrical field in the left frontotemporal head region. The findings were suggestive of the left frontotemporal epileptogenesis. Where is this located - frontotemporal what is it and what does it do, and what are the concerns in this area?, and what does this affect (I., memory, dementia, etc..). Is it dangerous or can it become worse? What does it mean in English? Is it Peti-ma or Grand-ma, Complex Partial Seizure, ...? I still can t tell when I am having a seizure. Of note I did have 8 episodes of Electro-convulsive Therapy - ECT bilateral right side for treatment a month before being diagnosed with Epilepsy (coincident?)it was for depression, Bipolar I, and psychotic schizoaffective schizophrenia (I lately have been slowly losing my memory). I have had three episodes recently where I was dizzy and blacked out for a second and my knees buckled 2 times and I was just slightly disoriented for a second. I haven t had any known convulsions (shakes). Also lately I have noticed my fingers sometimes cramp and the ring finger and middle finger bend like I have Arthritis and the left hand all 4 fingers slightly bend but less so then the right fingers. At the same time my feet especially the right foot at the top where the leg meets the foot is very painful all the way to my toes as well as the balls of my feet. The feet are very difficult to walk or when moving my toes up and down.
