What Does Dural Based Homogeneously Enhanced Mass In Right Anterior Parafalcine Region Mean?

I just had a brain MRI and the written results states I have in the right anterior parafalcine region, there is a dural based homogeneously enhancing mass which measures about 1.2 x 1.3 x 1.5 cm. It abuts the right lateral margin of the anterior aspect of the superior sagittal sinus but does not definitely invade the sinus. Just wondering what the prognosis is.

Hello

MRI findings may suggest small meningioma or dural metastasis.
It is important to search for primary lesion(if metastasis is considered),otherwise it is more in favour of meningioma.
It is important to know age and sex of the patient.

Meningioma is a tumor that arises from the meninges (membranes that surround brain and spinal cord). Most meningiomas are noncancerous (benign) though rarely meningioma may be cancerous(malignant).
Meningioma doesn't always require immediate treatment.Meningioma that causes no significant signs and symptoms may only require monitoring over time.

Get well soon.
Take Care
