What Does Crust And Lump Formation After Ear Piercing Indicate?
I had my cartilage pierced about a month ago and recently it s been crusty around it and today I took out the piercing to find there is a lump inside my ear surrounding the piercing. It s hard and I can feel it when I pinch the ear from both sides. Its not a visible lump on the skin which is what keeps coming up when I google it. What could it be?
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, it can be soft keloid or infected cyst at the site of piercing. Oral antibiotics, local antibiotics ointment will help in case of infection. In case of keloid, intralesional steroids may help to reduce it. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
