Can Contraceptive Implant Increase The Weight?
I got the contraceptive implant 6 days ago. Im only 15 and im worried that i will put on a lot of weight! I m already extremely self consious about my body... So this would devastate me. Also when i feel it, its lumpy!? As if theres little bumps over the implant. What is this? Thanks

Few women do complain of weight gain after getting contraceptive implant. It is a side effect of the implant. Not all experience similar symptoms. The implant should not feel lumpy, it feels lumpy when it gets broken / ruptured, broken/ruptured implants do not work. You are suggested to get the implant checked by your gynae or health care provider.
If it is ruptured or broken it should be removed to avoid further side effects and complications. After removal, you can take a new implant or may be recommended other contraceptive method. Stay away from addictions if any, always perform protected sex and avoid multiple partners to avoid getting infected by sexually transmitted diseases.
