Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an ultrasound on Monday and told the nurse that I was having slight bleeding. During the anatomy scan the technician said everything looked great. I didn t see the doctor that day as this appt was only for the anatomy scan and everything showed normal. The bleeding stopped the rest of that day. I just went to the bathroom and noticed brown stain in my underwear and a slight odor. I also told the nurse how I had slight cramping and felt worse pain when coughed or sneezed. I don t have much cramping now but I don t feel the baby moving as much and the blood is a concern to me. I also am not feeling very hungry or feeling pregnant symptoms as I was.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The bleeding followed by Anatoly scan to be normal & now the brown vaginal discharge, indicates bleeding from mouth of uterus (cervical erosion/cervical polyp. The brown discharge could be from old bleeding. Very rare chances of bleeding from pregnancy (as nothing was noted during scan)... still if you have doubt about pregnancy risk, you should get examined by your gynecologist to exclude any complication. Till then you should have bed rest. Take Duvadilan 1/2 pill 2-3 times a day, cap. cap gynae 1 cap three times a day after food
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
