* The inflammation of bowel with deficiency of nutrients caused by bowel pathology and disturbed gut flora are vital reasons for the abdomen problems in IBS.
My guidelines for this case
- drink more liquids
- consume easily digestible food stuffs
- avoid all spices, non veg, junk items, dairy fat
- raise intake of fresh yogurt and butter milk
- regular aerobics, exercises
- meditations and YOGA
- avoid smoking and alcohol if consuming
- continue current medications
- add intake of pre and post biotics with lacto bacillus and sacromyosis bullardie in drug basket.
* Consideration of GI specific antibiotics as metronidazole or rifaximin is choice of treating physician or gastroenterologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
