What Does Both Sides Adnexal Masses Look Normal And Endometrium Thickness Was 1.4 Cm Indicate?

Hi,

My LMP was May 22nd and have irregular periods. Missed my periods this time. Beta HCG done on July 2nd was 127, followed by july 4th was 256 then on July 7th was 643 and july 9th 979. Scan done on july 11th did not show sac any where. both sides adnexal masses look normal. endometrium thickness was 1.4 cm. REally worried if this is an ectopic pregnancy. My right side tube is blocked. I delivered a baby girl a year back, conceived through IUI.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Yes,you are right. It is important to rule out pregnancy especially ectopic.
You can go for TVS(Trans vaginal sonography). It is more sensitive than abdominal sonography especially in ruling out ectopic pregnancy.
Some times it is difficult assess ectopic pregnancy by abdominal routine. It may be due to excessive maternal fat etc.
Endometrial thickness is normal.

Hope I have answered your question.
Take Care
