What Does Blood In Stool After A Head Injury Indicate?

Monday night, 3 days ago, I feel on some ice and hit my head and behind very hard. I went to the doctor for the head and was told I had a concussion. But recently I’ve noticed a slightly-light red blood in my stool and I’ve been going more often and it’s been more difficult than normal to go. How concerning is this.

Hello,

Probably no relation between blood in stools and head injury. It may be due to hemorrhoid or fissure or fistulas etcetera. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Take a high fiber diet and regular exercise. Drink plenty of water. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
