What Does Back Pain And Bleeding Indicate?

I had gone to the ER on 8/30/14 early afternoon for horrible abdominal/pelvic pain & I also had signs of a possible uninary tract/ bladder infection as i have experienced those plenty of times in the past. During the ER visit I was given I/V fluids and a shot of morphine for the pain and ended up being givien a CT scan for possible kidney stones/other possible issues which I was told that I didn thave kidney stones and the ct scan was OK and I was also told that I would be tested for pregnancy but wasnt told the results and after a second shot of morphine didn t really have the sense to ask any more questions. Today being 8/2/14 I started spotting this morning and by afternoon while going pee I started bleeding with no warning and had back pain at the same time which I wasn t supposed to start my period for another 6 days and have typical warning signs before my usal periods so I am wondering if it is possible I had a miscarriage and if so why this may have happened and what signs to look for during a miscarriage as well

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If renal calculi have been excluded, the other most likely cause of this pain is of utero-tubal origin. Ectopic pregnancy can cause pain even before a missed period if it is tubal as it dilates and ruptures the tube if undetected. This is also associated with signs of shock. Since you do not have any, this may be unlikely. A ruptured ovarian cyst, cystitis, pelvic inflammatory disease etc., can cause pain and irregular bleeding/spotting. Please see a specialist for proper evaluation and management. If you are pregnant, a blood test done now can detect. An abortion presents with pain, spotting, passage of clots etc. Hope this helps.
