What Does Abdominal Pain In The Lower Right Side Indicate?
My wife woke me up around 2:30am today with extremely bad stomach pain on the lower right side where the appendix is located do I suspected maybe appendicitis I decided to rush to hospital ER I helped my wife out of bed since she was in extreme pain and could hardly even get out of bed... When she got up she went to the bathroom and urinated...after which I drove her to the hospital but ER but when we arrived my wife hesitated she told me she felt like she had to pass gas Soon after that she passed gas twice one of the times I Clearly heard her loudly pass the her gas Shortly after almost immediately the pain went completely away and there was NO PAIN so we decided to go back home SINCE it appeared the pain was caused by gas It s now a little after 5am and she still is WITHOUT ANY PAIN She has NO FEVER NO VOMITING but SHE FEELS does feel some NAUSEA and GENERAL FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS such as weakness and feeling physically drained and very tired MY QUESTION IS: Since my wife s pain left after passing gas is it possible that she actually has appendicitis and the pain leaving was because the appendix ruptured releasing the internal pressure and that the flu like symptoms are because of a ruptured appendix ?
"As"per your clinical history is concerned please do a physical exam by your Doctor, Total white blood cell count and a CT scan to confirm 100% if it is an inflammation of appendicitis or due to some other pathological disorder. If it is due to appendicitis then she may feel like this -
1)Sudden pain that begins around your navel and often shifts to your lower right abdomen 2)Pain that worsens if you cough, walk or make other jarring movements 3)Feeling of nausea and vomiting 4)Loss of appetite 5)Low-grade fever that may worsen as the illness progresses 6)Constipation or diarrhea 7)Abdominal bloating
So get a confirmation now
Hope that helps
