General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Single line on a pregnancy test should not be interpreted as positive.
There will be two arrows marked as 'C' and 'T' for control and test.
In case it has appeared at 'C', then it needs to be taken as negative.
If it has appeared only at 'T', then you need to repeat the test, preferably with another company kit.
Sometimes, urine pregnancy test could be inconclusive and misleading. In that case, you need to get your blood checked for beta-HCG levels and transvaginal ultrasound scan (TVS) to know the exact picture.
However, in case you have conceived, pregnancy can be terminated by use of abortion pills, strictly under medical supervision.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
