What Does A Lump In Vagina Indicate?

Just today while inserting my diva cup for my period I felt a hard bb sized lump under the skin of my vaginal wall that is closest to my rectum. It didn t really hurt when I felt it, but ever since I have felt almost bruised in that area which could just be because I had to take three tries to get my cup inserted properly. Could this by a cyst that will go away on it s own or should I see my doc asap?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

This could be a cyst, or a simple lump that could be harmless. As long as it is not causing any symptoms, then you need not worry at all. Please wait for a few days, and if it does persist then you can run this through your doctor when you visit him/her but you need not report to your doctor immediately. But if at all you do develop any symptoms, then you should report to your doctor at the earliest.

Best wishes.
