Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lump just above my left clavicle. It is hard and moves but is not painful at all. I just happened upon it last night. I had a TDap shot 1 week ago also in the left arm but I had zero side effects, not even arm pain. So I am a little concerned that this could be something else, especially because I am 39 and have an extensive family history of cancer. Do you have any insight for me?

What Does A Lump In The Left Clavicle Indicate?
Hi, I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern. The hard and movable lump you notice above the left clavicle could be a swollen lymph node. Tdap shot is followed by a series of events that will help providing the desired protection. Lymph nodes are also involved. That could be another explanation especially if you noticed that lump after the Tdap shot. In either case, I highly recommend to consult with your primary doctor first for a good clinical examination. He/she will judge if you need further diagnostic tests after clinical examination. Hope this helps. Dr.Albana
