Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I was diagnosed at Urgent Care of having nodule on the back of my neck on the right hand side I ve been breaking out at my hairline for about a month and also diagnosed as having pink eye which is prominent I have eye drops of course for that and I should get a sonogram which I will line up sap my question is can the pink eye cause nodule?
i can certainly understand your concern about the nodule on the back of your neck, yes , there is a possibility that because of pink eye , cervical lymphnodes ie lymph nodes around the neck may get enlarged , and appear as nodule which may also be associated with fever. if it is associated with fever, you must get the biopsy of lymph node and blood tests including WBC to rule out any infection and needs immediate evaluation.
If I were your treating doctor, I would advise you to get these tests done immediately
post your further questions if any thank you.
