Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there I am 42 year old female and recently had some routine bloodwork. I am to see my doctor again next week to go over it, however in the meantime all I do is seem to try and find out what my results mean. My TSH is 0.20 and my T4 Free was 10.3 The research I have done is coming up as secondary hypothyroidism. What are your thoughts? Thank you in advance!

What Does TSH Of 0.20 Indicate?
Hi, TSH depends on value of t3 and t4. If either of t3 , or t4 is high and TSH is low then this is a typical case of hyperthyroidism. However if TSH is low as well as t3 / t4 are low then yes it is secondadary hypothyroidism which is rare. Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
