My sister was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease. I had a T4Free a TSH test done. T4 came back 1.1 and TSH came back as 2.32, which GP doctor said was normal. However, I ve heard lots of conflicting information about thyroid disease and have most of the symptoms of underactive.
Your sister's thyroid test results are within the normal range. This means that her actual thyroid gland function is normal.
She has Hashimoto's disease but considering that her TSH test result is optimal, we can deduct that, actually, she has not hypothyroidism. Her symptoms cannot be attributed to hypothyroidism.
In these circumstances, I suggest to do a complete blood count (CBC), to check for anemia that can cause hypothyroidism-like symptoms and to consult her local physician to check for other possible causes that can explain her actual symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
