What Does ECG As Sinus Rythm Suggest?
I am 43 years old and did just 5 minutes ago ECG. And it says, sinus rhythm leftward axis, otherwise normal ECG. the electronic reading says possbile infarct or other abnormality and nothing is written. What is sinus rhythm leftwards. Do I need to worry.

1. Sinus node is the normal pace maker of the heart. Sinus rhythm means it is beating in normal rhythm. The normal sinus rhythm is 60-100 beats per minute and you need not worry about this.
2. Next query is regarding leftward axis - It is based on QRS complex - Generally as a person ages, the axis shifts from right to left and it is normal.
It is also seen in other conditions like inferior infarction or left anterior fascicular block.
Electronic reading does not take into consideration your age. So it is bound to show a possible infarct. You need not worry about it.
However, If you have any cardiac symptoms like severe constricting chest pain or elevated enzymes- an echocardiography will confirm any underlying infarction.
