Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Looking at the report you have shared of the Liver Function Test report, the following things can be inferred:
1. Bilirubin - Total, Direct and Indirect with 0.42mg/dl, 0.11mg/dl and 0.31mg/dl is within normal limits. Hence it can be considered negative for jaundice.
2. Total Protein with 7.08 g/dl, Albumin with 4.52g/dl, Globulin with 2.56 g/dl and Albumin/Globulin ratio with 1.77 are within normal limits. It states that the synthetic functions of liver are normal.
3. Enzyme levels with SGOT with 30.62 U/L and Alkaline Phosphatase with 116 U/L are within normal limits. SGPT with 50.46 U/L and GGT with 56 U/L appears to be on the higher side of normal. It could indicate mild hepatic dysfunction.
Hence, most of the parameters are within normal range and the reason for mild elevation of SGPT and GGT levels needs further evaluation. It would be better to get an ultrasound of liver and gall bladder done and then correlated with the clinical presentation.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
