What Do The Following Reports Indicate?

The requirement for fasting, or the protocol of not eating or drinking anything for 8 to 12 hours before taking the test, sometimes becomes a restriction, and makes us avoid taking the test itself . A large number of investigations especially for the purpose of screening and prevention do not necessitate fasting before the collection of the sample and give relatively similar results when carried out non fasting. This health package has been designed keeping your convenience in mind and with a focus on the utility of the selected investigations in screening for commonly prevalent diseases. The tests which have been included in this package are for either of the following reasons: 1. Tests for which the already existing accepted protocol is either the non fasting or fasting state. 2. Tests whose efficacy is relatively unaffected when conducted non fasting. (Supported by studies and research papers) 3. One specific test (Triglyceride) has been included because of the growing body of research supporting the utility of post meal or non fasting triglyceride levels in being an independent marker for the risk of developing cardiovascular disease. 4. Tests which have a specific screening & preventive nature 5. Tests which have medical literature available which specifically supports either or all of the above Please Note: The reference ranges provided in your report are applicable only for fasting samples Standard texts describe non fasting as sample collection within 24 hours of the last meal Non fasting does not replace fasting as a necessary preparation for a large number of investigations and needs to be followed as directed by your physician or laboratory In case it is found that your sample is highly lipemic (milky) due to reasons ranging from genetic to dietary, the likelihood of some parameters necessitating an evaluation in a fasting condition at a later date is possible. * HIGH SENSITIVITY CREACTIVE PROTEIN HIGH SENSITIVITY CRP 11.30 Low risk for CAD: Average risk for CAD: 1.00 3.00 High risk for CAD: 3.00 High mg/L METHOD : NEPHELOMETRY TRIGLYCERIDES, NONFASTING, SERUM TRIGLYCERIDES, NONFASTING, SERUM 164 Not Established mg/dL METHOD : SPECTROPHOTOMETRY CREATININE, SERUM CREATININE 1.0 0.9 1.3 mg/dL METHOD : SPECTROPHOTOMETRY BLOOD UREA NITROGEN, SERUM Page 1 Of 4 C0000 MICROSOFT INDIA (R&D) PVT. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Check with a nutritionist and a cardiologist once; it needs proper physical examination and treatment. Eat more antioxidants and multivitamins too for a few days. Learn yoga and breathing exercises. Meditation can help you also to a great extent.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
