What Do Stabbing Pain And Blisters On Breasts With Itchy Nipples Suggest?

I have been having these really bad sharp, stabbing pains in both of my breasts, and my nipples are itching like crazy. To a point I want to use a brush to scratch they itch so bad, and now I have these little blister/pimple/sore type things starting to appear on both if my breast. What is wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you should get them reviewed by a dermatologist or a surgeon for any breast or nipples infection and ultrasound or mammogram may be needed in such case. Also, any signs of shingles or early herpes infection should be ruled out. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with Gabapentin can be helpful for symptomatic relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
