Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir For the last 2 weeks, I noticed small red rashes on either side of inner thigh near genital. It forms a circle similar to ring guard. Although there is no itching, at the end of the day due to sweat it starts itching. I tried Betnovet, Clotrimazole cream but no relief. It spreads, subsides and again increases. I am also taking. Tablets. I can send snaps if required.
Understanding your concern. As per your query, you have symptoms of red rashes on inner thighs which seems to be due to folliculitis and can occur due to an allergic reaction as well. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or pricking it with a sharp object. I would suggest you apply topical antibacterial ointment and wear loose clothes. You should avoid sharing your clothes with someone and avoid taking anyone's clothes. You should take a course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep the area little dry. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keep on persisting. Start treatment after a complete examination and proper prescription. Also, take over the counter antihistamines like Zyrtec.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
