What Do Red Blisters On The Scrotum Indicate?

I have these little blood capillaries ( they look like tiny little blood blisters), on my scrotum. I put my pants and underwear on and felt something dripping from my leg. It was my scrotum. It wont stop bleeding, but it is only a tiny dot. I believe that one of those capillaries must have broke. I have a great clotting factor and am very healthy. It s been over a half hour and I have been holding on to it with pressure the whole time. What should I be doing to get it to stop bleeding?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Keep the affected area clean, take care of your hygiene. Apply antibacterial ointments like Bacitracin or Neosporin. You can take antibiotics like Doxycyclin/Minocyclin, twice daily for 5 days. Stay out of addiction if any and avoid sex if you are sexually active. Wear loose fitting clothes. Visit ER & get physically examined. You should get CBC, Urinalysis & all test to rule out STD (genital herpes, warts, HPV, syphilis, Chlamydia/gonorrhea, etc.) Your treatment will depend upon your reports, get treated. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr Nupur K
