What Do Rashes On The Upper Arms And Thighs Indicate?

Hello, I have what seems to be a rash on my skin that started on my side and spread to my back and upper arms, aswell as my upper thighs. They are starting to peel somewhat and the color is beginning to dull on some of them to a more flesh color instead of the original red. My question is what could it be? I have not taken any medications and so far as I know did not eat anything to get a bacterial infection. The spots of the rash are about as big as a zit in most places and a little larger in others.
