What Do Non Itchy White Things On Hair Suggest?

hi, I have some white things in my hair they don t itch. When I try to remove them by scratching they only appear more. I think I don t have lice because I shower a lot but the white things just stay! What do I have in my hair? How can I get rid of it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I share your concern
This could be due to dandruff of fungal infection like taenia capitis infection

you can use ketoconazole shampoo twice weekly
Keep the foams for the 10 to 15 minutes on hairs and wash it thoroughly

Keep your head well moisturised and avoid direct exposure to sunlight
You should take multivitamin supplements

if it further aggravates or persists then consult a dermatologist for further examination and conformation of diagnosis

Hope this helps you
thanks for your question
Best wishes
