Itchy red philtrum with horizontal lines indented into the skin. Easy becomes cut after itching and uncomfortable to move. I’ve been told it’s eczema by doctors but I’m starting to believe that it may be a fungus and have constantly been prescribed hydrocortisone and fucidin which didn’t help long term. Fucidin had only hurt to put on and gave no comfort but hydrocortisone had removed the redness for the week that I had to use it and stopped it from itching. Ofcourse, I was not able to continue using it as the cream would cause more damage than good. If it is a fungus what cream can I purchase over the counter? I’ve been using blistex for comfort which removes redness but doesn’t remove the lines and does not prevent it from becoming itchy. If I don’t regularly throughout the day put a large amount of blistex on the area it quickly becomes dry.
