What Do Inconclusive Results After An Abdominal Lymph Node Biopsy Indicate?

Last week I had an abdomonial lymph node biopsy due to pet scan showing enlargement. The biopsy results were inconclusive I was told due to blood. The oncologist said I should pick up my last pet scan disc and see a surgeon to see what he thinks. Is there any reason I should not request the biopsy to be done again for a better specimen? I was also only off baby aspirins that I take daily for three days.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Inconclusive results means the sample taken does not contain enough lymph node tissues. You can consult your surgeon and plan for a repeat biopsy if indicated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
