Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I would have preferred if you had shared the detailed MRI report for me to give a firm opinion. Fluid in the brain which needs to be drained is certainly serious. However the seriousness can only be ascertained after reviewing the clinical state of the child, MRI report and the biochemical and cytological report of the drained fluid.

The swelling on one side of the head and presence of blood should not be a cause of worry and as the doctors have told you it shall gradually be absorbed over a few weeks.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction. Please feel free to revert back in case you need any clarifications or if you would like to share more facts.

Wishing the child an early recovery.
