What Do Black Particles In Phlegm Indicate?

I recently had to move from a rental because of black mold, had gotten very sick, lost 20 lbs rapidly and was sleeping in a coma type sleep for as much as 18hrs at one time, extreme fatigue. I moved but still cannot gain weight, very fatigued. I recently noticed brown spots in the mucas when I cough, could the mold have anything to do with this?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In your case possibility of chronic lung infection is more because you are having weakness, weight loss and cough with brownish expectoration.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. Chest x ray.
Chest x ray is needed to rule out chronic lung infection like tuberculosis, fungal infection etc.
Chronic mold inhalation can cause fungal infection. So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these and first diagnose yourself, then start appropriate treatment.
